This past weekend was the fund-raising event for
Gabby that we've been planning for the last 3 weeks....only the last 3 weeks. That is not a lot of time to pull off a big event, but we have done it before in an even shorter amount of time. Let me just tell you......we had an AMAZING turnout, and raised an AMAZING amount of money for the family...far exceeding our expectations. I only wish that the family could have been there to witness it. Our event was a spaghetti dinner, basket raffle, 50/50 bake sale, and water-ice sale. There was someone there selling Get well Gabby merchandise (bracelets, and t-shirts) and someone selling hair bows and giving a percentage of the profit to Gabby's family. We are guessing that there were close to 700 dinners served (including take-out meals) And raffle ticket sales were hopping all night!
Check out all the great items we collected for the raffle!
And gift cards to raffle...
We also had a handful of high-value items to raffle at a higher price.
Check out the crowd of people!

| Me and my raffle girls! We make a great team! |
 |
| Nathan enjoying a treat from the bake table. |
 |
| Gabby's sisters were there with their Grandfather. |
Everyone worked so hard to make the event a success and it was sure worth it to be able to help this family, my dear friends. I was so glad to be part of it all! Please continue to pray for Gabby. She has been in the hospital for a month and is preparing to come home this weekend (hopefully) and continue her treatments and therapy as outpatient. Pray that she continues to improve and remain stable enough to not have to be hospitalized again.

Oh, Kelly, that is so wonderful! I had goosebumps reading your post and seeing the pictures. Such amazing people in your community! Gabby is so blessed. She will continue to stay in my thoughts and prayers. Please let me know when you receive the pendants. I sent them off Saturday night.
Make sure you post pictures when she comes home and sees the sidewalk!! I am so excited that she is coming home!! She'll be so suprised to see how big Posey got! I hope Gabby is home to stay and the daily treatments will make her well and keep her home!! Mom
So glad to hear she will be home soon!!! We have been praying for her everday! Grace's prayers sound like this "Thank you that Gabby will get better. Thank you that her big sisters are going to be nice to her. Thank you that she can come home soon" I love how she's thanking God for things that she expects will happen! Tell the Vogels that we BELIEVE!
Gabby is so blessed to have such great family and friends that are so supportive. This is awesome...
