Last week we gathered with my neighbors at the YMCA pool. We are not full members but one of them let us use a guest pass along with another neighbor so all of us could be there. The kids had a blast swimming together. Nathan proudly earned a green wristband which allows him to use the slides and even jump off the diving board. Kaitlyn along with many of her friends earned a yellow wristband and can go in the big pool up to her armpits without an adult.
On Monday we went to a birthday party at the spray park. We had never been there before but it was very cool and again, the neighbor kids had a blast together .
And yesterday, we hosted our Wacky Wednesday activity at our house.
My neighbor brought over his inflatable water slide and once again the kids had a BLAST! Now if only us adults could have gotten in on the fun. Instead, we just sat in our sweat and chatted.
Yes, we do a lot with our neighbors. We just love them all and have become like family. We are so blessed to live around all these great people and their great kids! Only 2 more weeks of summer fun left, but unfortunately the start of school does not mean an end to our heat, so I'll bet the water fun will go on a bit longer!

That's funny, I didn't even think of all the different water activities we've done ... but it's true - you can't be outside without water this summer! (Too bad the grown-ups didn't take a turn on the water slide ... we should do that sometime, the kids would probably think it's hilarious!) Good memories!
