Beachy Mantel

My long but narrow mantel is always a challenge to decorateIf you recall, here, I was having issues decorating it for spring. I am still searching for a big picture or mirror that I love.  But when it came to decorating it for summer I was able to shop the house,  and the dollar store, for everything I needed.

The kids were happy to lend me some sea shells and starfish from their collections to display proudly.

Candle holders and candles from the dollar store, and a bit of beach sand we brought home with us early this summer.
Another dollar store find....this frame that I spray painted.
Our family picture on the beach works perfectly for above our summer mantel.

Pretty soon the sea shells will be replaced with pumpkins, gourds, and colorful leaves.  Yay! I love fall!  And after this HOT, HOT summer....Bring it on!

I'm linking up to Kimba's DIY, beach edition.

I came over from Kimba's. I really like your mantle, especially the candles. I like the pink - complements the pink in the seashells! Your children are adorable!
