We spent some time at Valley Forge Park on Sunday. What a beautiful day it was, and it is so pretty there this time of year. We went into the Visitor Center, never did that before . There was a museum in there and a theater where we saw an interesting short film about George Washington and his men, and their time at Valley Forge. The kids even paid attention. Then we went to Washington's headquarters and toured the house. This was all free too! While I was there, I thought to myself....Why have we never done this before?? This is less than 10 minutes from our house! We've gone there and taken walks before, of course, but we take for granted what people travel many miles to see! If you haven't done so already, take a day to tour the Visitor Center at Valley Forge, Chapel, Washington's Headquarters and the museum at the restored train station there. Learn about the great history we have right down the road!
