Another Christmas gone by

There is no sign of Christmas left in our house, except, of course, for the many new toys everywhere that we have yet to find a place for. It's always kind of sad taking everything down. And for me it takes a while, because I put so much up. It took me all day yesterday and some of today. Norm took the lights down yesterday too....a sad thing for the kids. They love the houses all lit up. They are glad many houses are still lit. Anyway, we had a very nice but busy Christmas. We went to Mom and Pop Scott's house Christmas Eve, and everyone came to us Christmas day. Mom, Dad, Becky, Josh and Jay and Krista and the girls all came for a Lasagna dinner. Christmas night all the Aunt's, Uncles and cousins and Pop-Pop Fort came for finger foods and goodies, and of course, gift giving. It was a great time. I've also really enjoyed having the kids all to myself for over a week and not having to deal with school, getting up early, and homework. Although I must say, I'm sorta ready for them to go back now. Here are some Christmas pics: Checking to see if Santa ate the cookies and drank the milk....he did. ;-) Nathan's new hunting game. Kaitlyn and her new princess tent, which now takes up a large portion of our basement. Kaitlyn in the ballet/gymnastic outfit she got from Mom-mom and Pops Christmas Eve ...she had to put it on right after breakfast and wore it till dinner. Christmas night-all the kiddos opening gifts....the wrapping paper was flying! So it's been a good year......Lot's of first for the kids: First plane ride, Trip to Disney World, learning to swim, Kaitlyn learning to ride a 2 wheel bike...fast, first grade for Nathan and boy scouts. Looking forward to more new things in 2009! Happy New Year!
